Northeast Gas Operations School 2024

The 29th Annual Northeast Forum is the premier event where 500+ of the Natural Gas Industry’s leaders gather at Bryant University, Smithfield, RI. This annual event ran all week with golf on Monday, Symposiums, Key-Note, and Trade Floor on Tuesday, followed by Wed through Friday filled with classes and demonstrations. ODIN was pleased to be able to attend.

With public focus on safety and environmental stewardship as well as continued legislative and regulatory changes, it’s imperative that we improve the knowledge, skills and experience of our people. The Northeast Gas Operations School helps us do just that with its annual Gas Operations School. This event brings together  students, knowledgeable instructors and leading natural gas related companies.

STUDENTS: Build  knowledge and skills by selecting from multiple tracks and participating in a variety of events.
EXHIBITORS: showcase their products or services while helping students learn.
INSTRUCTORS: share their experience and best practice with students, helping to make our industry stronger.

This year, the NGA has added a special Supply Chain Symposium to the Gas Operations School agenda. This is a great opportunity to hear from industry leaders across the utility, supplier, and manufacturer sectors discussing the pressing supply chain issues facing the natural gas industry.

ODIN sent President and CEO, Chris Barros to participate on the second panel, discussing Procuring Construction & Professional Services: Overcoming the Challenges.  The discussion areas included:

  • Quality Assurance (QA) of Engineering and Construction Oversight
  • Planning
  • Procurement
  • Contracts

ODIN was “all in” when we participated by:

  • Providing a foursome for the annual golf event held at beautiful Blackstone National Golf Club in Sutton, MA;
  • Sending our own engineers to allow them the opportunity to gain skills and network with peers;
  • Presenting ODIN’s services in the Exhibitor Hall, and;
  • Participating in the Inaugural Executive Symposium on Supply Chain as Chris Barros accepted the invitation to be an expert panelist
