Avangrid Maine Natural Gas M&R Station

Avangrid asset Maine Natural Gas (MNG) was experiencing malfunctions with their regulator inlet block valves at the Pownal Metering and Regulation (M&R) station in Maine and thus were seeking replacement valves in addition to new T-strainers on their two regulation runs.

ODIN was selected to provide engineering, design, and construction services for the project. The MNG Pownal M&R Station was not able to be shut down for the full time of construction. ODIN provided a temporary bypass solution and procedure to minimize the outage at the station.

The solution included modifications to the existing heater outlet piping allowing a tie in point upstream of the regulation that was not previously included in the design of the station. ODIN supported this project from engineering through construction and commissioning and it was brought into service in 2023.
