Bowdoin Meter Station Upgrades (Transmission)

Need: Maine Natural Gas sought to upgrade their Bowdoin meter station to increase the flow due to increased demand in the local community.

Solution: ODIN was selected to assist MNG by providing design of both temporary and permanent measurement and regulation facilities as well as fabrication and field installation of the equipment. MNG has been a long term customer of ODIN.

Daleville Meter Station & Lateral (Transmission)

Daleville Meter Station & Lateral (Transmission)

Need: Eastern Shore Natural Gas wanted to expand the capacity of their Daleville Meter Station with Columbia Pipeline Group (TransCanada) to increase their ability to serve pipeline customers.

Solution: ODIN partnered with ESNG to provide design services and full EPC of the measurement and regulation facility. This included preliminary engineering, final design, fabrication, field construction, and commissioning support. ODIN also was responsible for the installation of the 2000 foot lateral feeding the station from TransCanada.

Milford Vaporizer Replacement Project (LNG)

Milford Vaporizer Replacement Project (LNG)

Need: Southern Connecticut Gas sought a partner to assist with the design and replacement of their vaporization system. This required interaction with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) to complete the plant modifications.

Solution: ODIN was selected by SCG/Avangrid to perform the work which started in 2018 and is continuing in 2019. The project involves replacing the existing heaters with two Johnston Boiler heaters to increase throughput capabilities and enhance system reliability. ODIN is expected to complete the project before the 2019 heating season.

New Jersey Natural Gas (LNG)

New Jersey Natural Gas (LNG)

Need: New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG) sought a partner organization that had the capabilities to conceptualize, design, fabricate, construct and commission a new liquefaction system for their Howell, NJ LNG storage facility.

Solution: ODIN was selected to provide full conceptualization and EPC services to NJNG for the facility. liquefaction capacity of the plant is confidential, however it enabled greater system efficiency and resiliency for NJNG operations and rate base customers. The project also included a truck loading/unloading facility to provide additional flexibility.

Northeast Energy Center (LNG)

Northeast Energy Center (LNG)

Need: The NEC project is envisioned as a merchant LNG facility serving New England utilities and future commercial customers. The facility will liquefy gas from the Tennessee Gas Pipeline into on-site LNG storage.

Solution: ODIN has supported various efforts during the development of this project that has included the design baseline, initial project renderings, siting assistance, and budgetary pricing. Activities related to the project are on-going.

Peekskill Meter Station (Transmission)

Peekskill Meter Station (Transmission)

Need: Enbridge sought an EPC contractor to provide the turnkey delivery of a measurement and regulation facility for an interconnect with ConEdison in Peekskill, New York.

Solution: ODIN was selected to provide turnkey EPC services for the Peekskill meter station facility. This included preliminary engineering, final design, material procurement, fabrication, and field installation of the facility.

Salem AESD Replacement Project (LNG)

Salem AESD Replacement Project (LNG)

Need: National Grid sought a partner to assist with the replacement of their automated emergency shut-down devices at their Salem, MA LNG facility.

Solution: ODIN was selected to provide necessary design, electrical, and field construction support to complete the replacement of the AESD system. This included replacement of elements of the plant SCADA system and programming of the system.

Vaporizer Replacement Project (LNG)

Need: BGC sought a company that could design, build and install a second vaporizer at their Whately, MA Plant.

Solution: ODIN submitted the successful bid to provide EPC services of the Vaporizer including the detailed design, fabrication of components, and field installation. The project will be completed prior to 2019 heating season.

Marine Bunkering Study (LNG)

Marine Bunkering Study (LNG)

Need: Assess feasibility, create design baseline, develop budgetary pricing, and preliminary schedule for a potential project site related to a marine bunkering LNG facility.

Solution: ODIN provided Preliminary Engineering which included development of a design baseline, major equipment definition, budgetary EPC cost estimate and preliminary schedule. The engagement also included support with the development of an Executive Presentation.

Passyunk Energy Center (LNG)

Passyunk Energy Center (LNG)

Need: Liberty Energy Trust created a commercial arrangement with Philadelphia Gas Works (PGW) to provide a new liquefaction system for their Passyunk LNG facility. The liquefier will make approximately 120,000 US gallons of LNG per day and will be utilized to support the PGW natural gas system as well as to support industrial and commercial customers with LNG.

Solution: LET has engaged ODIN to perform a mobilization study for initial phases of work as well as create and update the facility’s design baseline. The facility will also include a solar array which ODIN is conceptualizing. Future phases of work will include technology selection, engineering, procurement and construction of the facility.

Satellite LNG Facility (LNG)

Satellite LNG Facility (LNG)

Need: Delmarva Power, working with RevLNG, desired to create a peak shaving facility within their system for use during high demand winter periods. Assistance was needed with a Feasibility Study and Preliminary Engineering to conceptualize the facility size and capabilities as well as budget and schedule for construction.

Solution: DPL released an initial conceptual design phase RFP that ODIN was selected to perform. Upon completion of conceptualizing the facility, ODIN’s engagement was eventually expanded to encompass the 30% design. The balance of the work will include detailed design, procurement, construction and commissioning of the facility.

Towanda Merchant LNG Facility (LNG)

Towanda Merchant LNG Facility (LNG)

Need: Niche LNG was looking for a company to design and construct their merchant LNG facility in North Central Pennsylvania. Of particular concern was the ability of the selected partner to integrate the design of the liquefaction system into the balance of plant.

Solution: ODIN was selected to perform engineering, design, procurement and construction of the Towanda LNG Facility which includes a 50,000 gallons per day Chart liquefaction system with 150,000 US Gallons of on-site storage. The facility also includes truck loading and is intended to be operated in an unmanned fashion during liquefaction.
