Title: Regional Director (PJM/NYISO) Territories
Reports to Chris Barros, P.E. – President and CEO

Job Description

The ODIN Central Region Director will perform engineering duties associated with the design of power and control systems for natural gas metering and pressure regulating, liquefied natural gas (LNG), compressed natural gas (CNG), hydrogen, carbon capture, and solar energy systems. The Director will be tasked with representing the company in the region as a leader in both marketing and execution to support the growth of our team and clients.

Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
• Minimum of five (5) years of energy and/or utility system experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency working with computer applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc.
• Project Management experience.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear, concise, and organized manner.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively organize and prioritize work in a timely manner.
• Capable of multi-tasking numerous projects at once and working within deadlines.
• Ability to develop collaborative working relationships with multi-discipline teams to achieve goals.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineering (PE) License.

Desired Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Drafting or AutoCAD/CADWorx abilities.
  • Experience with designing mechanical, electrical, or civil systems.
  • Working knowledge of 49 CFR Part 192, 193, NFPA 59A, and other relevant codes.

Responsibilities

The Director of the Central Region will be responsible for the following:

  • Manage existing relationships in the region.
  • Coordination with ODIN engineering and drafting team to complete and deliver design studies, reports, documents, and drawings as required to meet client needs.
  • Support project management of engineering and construction efforts for clients.
  • Manage contracts, changes, and execution.
  • Support sales and marketing efforts to grow new client relationships.
  • Work with core ODIN team to help track and execute delivery of projects for clients on time and on budget.
  • Act as liaison on site during project construction or coordinate such site supervision where and when required.

Compensation

Compensation will be commensurate with experience.

  • Target budget is $120,000 to $130,000 annually.

Travel

This position is remote report and will necessitate client visits and occasional travel to headquarter offices in Tewksbury, MA. Periodic U.S. travel is a requirement and may include overnight stays of several nights in duration. It is not intended that this position regularly provide day-to-day site support.

Senior Mechanical Project Engineer / Project Manager

Title: Senior Mechanical Project Engineer / Project Manager
ODIN EPC is seeking a qualified passionate and results driven mechanical engineer candidate to join our team. The company is looking for an individual with a seller/doer model mentality and driver towards building new opportunities.

Duties and Responsibilities
Under the general direction and supervision of the Director of Mechanical Engineering, the Senior Mechanical Project Engineer / Project Manager performs engineering duties associated with the design of mechanical components for process gases, pressure regulation and measurement, cryogenics and/or compressed gas handling systems. The position is responsible for ensuring technical competence and compliance with all current regulations, codes, and policies.

These responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provides overall project support to multi-discipline teams.
  • Serves as the main project contact for the customer at times..
  • Solves project-based engineering problems including sizing and specifying of piping systems and related equipment (control valves, pressure vessels, rotating equipment, etc.).
  • Performs heat transfer and heat balance calculations or simulations.
  • Prepares or directs the preparation of Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), piping drawings, isometric fabrication drawings, bill of materials, and general arrangement drawings in CADWorx.
  • Communicates with technology vendors.
  • Performs visual inspections of incoming materials to make sure that they match the technical specifications.
  • To include, at times, visits or extended supervision to projects in progress within ODIN’s project execution geography.
  • Conducts technical review of equipment specifications, standards, drawings and engineering calculations for assigned projects to ensure that they are consistent with technical and company guidelines, codes & standards, and project requirements.
  • Reviews vendor materials quotations, prepare technical evaluations, and recommend to the Project Manager and Procurement selections based on technical merit along with price and delivery.
  • Provides technical support to shop and construction personnel during manufacturing and construction activities.
  • Monitors and supports projects considering scope, schedule, budget and quality.
  • Prepares monthly project status and forecast reports at times for clients.
  • Plays a key role in the development of new business by maintaining strong customer relationships and a superior level of customer service.
  • Supports business development efforts at times by attending pre-bid meetings, and providing project scopes of work, estimates and schedules for the preparation of proposals.


Qualifications

Electrical CAD Designer

Title: Electrical CAD Designer

Duties and Responsibilities
Under the general direction and supervision of ODIN management, the Electrical CAD Designer performs drafting duties associated with the design of power and controls systems for process gases, pressure regulation and measurement, cryogenics and/or compressed gas handling systems.

These responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Direct preparation of Electrical One-Line Diagrams, Site Conduit Layout, Grounding Plan, Hazardous Area Plan, Controls drawings, RTU drawings, Building Electrical Plans, Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), piping drawings, electrical conduit layouts, bill of materials, and general arrangement drawings.
  • Performing occasional site visits for preliminary data collection and also to assist with final as-built record drawings.
  • Participating in multidiscipline design review meetings with the Project Manager, Project Engineer, Project Team and Client to discuss the scope, design, and expected performance, as well as work out unforeseen problems.

Basic Minimum Education/Experience

  • Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology.
  • Demonstrated experience in drafting/detailing of 2D deliverable drawings.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear, concise, and organized manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively organize and prioritize work in a timely manner.
  • Capable of multi-tasking numerous projects at once and working within deadlines.
  • Ability to develop collaborative working relationships with multi-discipline teams to achieve goals.

Civil Engineer/CAD Drafter

Title: Civil Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities

Under the general direction and supervision of the Manager of Civil Design Engineering, the Civil/Structural Engineer performs engineering design duties associated with the site development for natural gas facility projects including site layout and drainage design. The Civil Engineer will be responsible for ensuring technical competence and compliance with all current regulations, codes, and policies.

Basic Minimum Education/Experience

  • Associate’s degree in Civil Engineering or Engineering Technology.
  • Demonstrated experience in drafting/detailing of 2D deliverable drawings.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear, concise, and organized manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively organize and prioritize work in a timely manner.
  • Capable of multi-tasking numerous projects at once and working within deadlines.
