Complete Owner’s Agent Services Provided for Unique Regulation Station

A major northeast utility sought an experienced engineering firm to provide Owner’s Agent services for a unique multi-story regulation station and associated piping. ODIN was contracted to provide Construction and Project Management oversight during all stages of building and commissioning of the facility.

Innovative Design and Construction

The regulation facility features an innovative two-story design with a filtering process, an integrated heating system, and the capacity for multiple safe pressure reductions. Research showed that this was the only multi-level installation of its kind in the country. The project also featured the installation of over 3,600 feet of natural gas piping through high-density urban areas as well as two separately located district gas regulation vault systems.

Natural Gas Capacity & Customers

This station filters and cleans incoming natural gas, heats it prior to pressure reduction, and regulates the appropriate output pressures to multiple systems and to multiple major power facility users. These power produces are making electricity for a major university, a biotech campus, and an electricity and steam generation facility that feeds most of the city.
