Full EPC Provided For Towanda LNG Facility
Dominion Energy’s, Niche LNG (now Berkshire Hathaway Energy), sought to build a merchant LNG facility in Northern Pennsylvania to distribute Marcellus Shale nationally.
ODIN managed and commissioned a full EPC installation for the Towanda LNG Facility including a 50,000 gpd Chart liquefaction system and three (3) 60,000 US gallon bullet tanks. The Towanda LNG facility officially entered service in January, 2021. In December 2020, prior to becoming officially in-service, the facility supplied LNG to support the bunkering of a marine vessel at the Port of Hamilton in Ontario, Canada. This was a first on the Great Lakes and a major milestone in the evolution of the regional shipping industry.
LNG Capacity
The Towanda LNG facility located in Wyalusing, Pennsylvania has a capacity of 50,000 gallons per day and approximately 180,000 gallons of on-site storage. Towanda LNG’s first bunkering was at Port Hamilton and has continued to supply LNG for other marine vessel bunkerings.
