ODIN EPC was originally founded in 1996 as Northstar Industries.  Northstar Industries began when a group of gas utility professionals turned an idea into a process and then turned that process into the foundation of an EPC company.

Identifying an Industry Challenge

The company emerged from the collective experience of gas utility professionals who had spent decades designing and executing complex gas projects. Through firsthand experience, the founders identified a recurring issue across the industry, projects often failed to meet schedule and budget expectations due to early-stage misalignment between owners, contractors, and pipeline operators.

Developing a Process-Driven Approach

To address this challenge, Northstar developed a Preliminary Engineering Process focused on clearly defining scope, responsibilities, and technical requirements at the front end of each project. This structured approach ensures stakeholder alignment, minimizes risk, and improves predictability throughout execution.

Building on this foundation, ODIN has become a trusted EPC partner for LNG and natural gas infrastructure projects.
