ODIN Attends NGA Gas Operations School 2023
01 August 2023
ODIN participated in this year’s NGA Gas Operations School. The event took place June 6th through the 9th at Bryant University in Smithfield, RI. Sessions included Corrosion, Distribution, Gas Supply, Storage & Transmission, and more.
We sent three of our gas engineers to improve their knowledge through training They, in turn, provide better services for our clients in the following areas:
- Safety: Improved training ensures that natural gas engineers have a thorough understanding of safety protocols, risk management, and emergency response procedures. This knowledge is crucial to prevent accidents, leaks, and other hazardous incidents, protecting both the engineers and the general public.
- Efficiency and Innovation: Better-trained engineers can develop and implement more efficient and innovative techniques in natural gas extraction, distribution, and utilization. Enhanced expertise allows for the adoption of advanced technologies and practices, leading to cost savings, reduced environmental impact, and increased overall efficiency.
- Environmental Protection: Proper training equips engineers with the knowledge to minimize the environmental impact of natural gas operations. They can identify and implement sustainable practices, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and ensure compliance with environmental regulations, contributing to a more sustainable energy future.
Management at ODIN love this event due to its proximity to our HQ as well as the fact that our engineers are better enabled to promote and identify safety, drive efficiency and innovation, and promote environmental protection for the benefit of our clients.
ODIN also participated in this important and useful event by securing a table on the exhibit floor. It was a great chance to communicate with attendees, update them on what is new and current at ODIN and to renew acquaintances with customers. A truly worthwhile event!
