Iroquois Pipeline Solar Feasibility Study
Phase I – Solar Feasibility Study for Seven (7) Compressor Stations
ODIN was engaged by Iroquois Pipeline Operating Company to perform a Solar Feasibility Analysis on seven (7) compressor station facilities located throughout New York and Connecticut. The project initiative was to assess the viability, benefits, and potential challenges of implementing a solar panel system at each site.
Each facility requires electric power as part of its operation which could be offset by renewable solar power. Solar panel systems could provide reliable primary and/or subsidiary power to these facilities and other assets across Iroquois’ portfolio through net-metering.
Phase II – Detailed Design for one (1) Compressor Station
After the Iroquois team reviewed the Solar Feasibility Report, they selected one site to move forward with a Detailed Design. The ODIN team performed detailed design engineering which involved several tasks related to site preparation, surveying, and planning before the construction commenced.
