Kinder Morgan Sutton Meter Station

Kinder Morgan sought to design a meter station to supply a new Eversource gate station being constructed in Sutton, Massachusetts to serve the local community. This was a greenfield project consisting of all new facilities and equipment.

ODIN submitted a successful bid to provide engineering and design services for the metering portion of the project.  We provided design documents from inception through the IFC phase, concept to complete.  ODIN also provided drawings and supported Kinder Morgan as needed through the permitting process which was led by Eversource including survey and routing for the 4” inlet lateral supplying gas to the facility.

The meter station included a 350 foot long 4” natural gas lateral with hot tap, a 12’x20’ field erected steel meter building which housed a 3” Coriolis meter with by-pass run, tie-in piping with valve to Eversource, a 6’x8’ electronic gas measurement (EGM) building, full electrical and communications design, ancillary equipment including foundations, pipe supports, and other site infrastructure.

The facility was successfully commissioned in the fall of 2021.  ODIN supplied facility as-builts to Kinder Morgan and closed out the project.
