NGrid LNG Commercial Point Control Building

National Grid desired engineering and design services of a new control room building along with associated offices and support facilities at the Commercial Point LNG Facility in Dorchester, MA. This is a high visibility facility along the congested Southeast Expressway of Boston and home of the iconic rainbow LNG tank artwork.

ODIN partnered with Burns & McDonnell to design and construct a state-of-the-art LNG Control Building to fulfill the operational needs of the National Grid personnel. This includes new offices, conference rooms, modernized kitchen, men’s and women’s locker rooms, and much more.

ODIN was engaged to partake in this project as the main electrical designer as well as designing the relocation of the process piping connected to the instrument air compressors in the facility.

As the main electrical designers of this project, ODIN’s responsibilities included incoming services and building distribution, indoor/outdoor lighting, electric vehicle charging stations, fire protection, and SCADA integration.

ODIN will support seamless execution through the design phase, construction phase, and post construction phase to ensure satisfaction for National Grid and to continue to support our ODIN values and promise to our clients.
