ODIN Attends APGA Conference 2023
10 August 2023
The APGA Annual Conference took place July16th through the 19th at the Westin Kierland Resort in Scottsdale, AZ and ODIN was there introducing our new offering, ODIN Secure. With over 500 attendees, which included members, vendors and spouses, it was very well attended. And the venue was beautiful and gave shelter from the 110O+ daytime temperature.
The Annual Conference is traditionally the largest gathering of publicly- and community-owned natural gas professionals across the nation. There are plenty of reasons why APGA members attend the Annual Conference year after year, including:
- the educational sessions with key industry figures.
- the collaboration that generates new ideas, and,
- the networking opportunities with hundreds of colleagues from across the nation.
It is safe to say that the APGA Annual Conference is the event of the year for city- and community-owned natural gas utility professionals and industry experts.
Our own Tom Mumford, along with Doug Early of ENE Security, had a brisk couple of days as interest in ODIN Secure was high on the exhibit floor. As Mumford was explaining the new offering, that since 1996, ODIN has been building its reputation as world-class EPC. With scores of clients across the country, including APGA members such as City of Monroe and Greenville Utilities, infrastructures were being built, expanded and modernized. But the leadership at ODIN felt a focus on Security and Life Safety was not always being appropriately addressed. And that formed the genesis of ODIN Secure.
Mumford and Early were kept busy explaining the offerings capabilities that covered:
- Operational Technology (OT) through our unique knowledge of communications in the utility industry.
- Infrastructure Technology (IT) through our best-in-class partner Fellsway group.
- Physical Security through our product and design partner ENE security systems.
The APGA Annual Conference was the ‘coming out party’ for ODIN Secure and out of the 80 or so publicly- and community-owned natural gas facilities, nearly a third came to learn more.
We thank Dave Schryver, Todd Brady, Durk Tyson and, especially Sheil Deringus for helping bring this altogether for ODIN. And we look forward to seeing everyone next year in Michigan!
